The Winnebago County Circuit Clerk's Office offers an entry level Deputy Clerk position. Once an applicant is selected to serve as a Deputy Clerk, they may be assigned to any number of duties, which includes the Records Area, Civil or Criminal Court, or our Payment Center.
Our Deputy Clerks are represented by the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Union, Local 473. The beginning wage and subsequent pay increases are governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
There are many promotional opportunities within the Clerk's Office. Generally, our clerks work Monday through Friday, 8a.m. to 5p.m. There are instances that may necessitate overtime.
